Wonderful Day!

Today was, I think, our happiest day since we've been here at Johns Hopkins. Baby Nick's stats are good, his breathing tube is out, and they were able to remove his arterial I.V., which gave us the opportunity to HOLD HIM! It was only Naomi's 2nd time to hold him, and my first! Words fail to describe that feeling! Naomi said she thinks he was more restful then than he has been yet. The nurses really helped make it possible, moving and rearranging wires and tubes and having to reattatch leads. We have been blessed with great Doctors and Nurses! Thank God for them!
We got over to the hospital a little earlier today and met with Elaine Eby and her sister Beth, who came to visit and see the baby. Had a great time talking with them; I said they came on a good day! (with all the good news). Then this evening, Phil, Con, and Carmen Bear brought Alec & Mia to visit us for the first time since we've been here. Sure was good to get with them again! Was hard to part with 'em! Phil's brought dinner, and we had a very nice time. After they left was when we got to hold Baby Nick, and it put the Icing on the Day! I'll probably post some video tomorrow........Keep Praying, It really does matter!
Thanks,
Rob
