Well, today was also a mix of things happening....they were able to take his oxygen down again. He was at the point that they were talking about taking his oxygen tube out, but he has been having some seizure-like activity sometimes, where he stops breathing....we're not sure what is going on there yet; he does it sometimes when they move him, etc., and he seems to get upset. I think sometimes when he is coming out of sleep too, maybe. We have had some seizure activity in our family in the past, so I'm not sure what it is. Doctor says sometimes babys that have had anesthesia can have seizure activity. They did an EKG on him today, and he had one then, which may make it easier for them to determine. The results on that should be back on Monday. They are going to do an ultrasound of his head too. Also he's been spitting up some fluid sometimes that looks kind of like biliary fluid, so they're going to ultrasound to make sure he doesn't have a blockage. He had a seizure after the shift change this evening, and did the stopping breathing thing, so they gave him a dose of phenobarb to stop that sort of thing. Please continue to pray for him and for his caregivers, and for us. On a side note, Sam & Glenda Petersheim came to visit this evening-good timing , giving us someone to talk to, and Glenda gave Naomi a much-needed shoulder massage! They also brought us some things from the Dutch Country Market, so after Midnight we had a great Ham & Cheese Meal. That was very enjoyable. Well, I'll keep you posted as we get info.....Thanks for all the concern and prayers!
