Arrival at Johns Hopkins

Well, we finally got to Johns Hopkins Hospital around 6:00.....Baby Nick has been in surgery since around 4:30. For those of you who wonder what is going on, he was diagnosed with a condition known as Tracheoesophageal Fistula, which means that his esophagus is not connected to his stomach, but is connected to his windpipe instead. Also he has another problem....his duodenum, the tube that connects the stomach to the intestines, is not connected to the intestines. They say that these conditions are repairable, but it's major surgery, and could take 5 hours. Last we heard, his heart rate was good, his oxygen rate was good, and he seems to be very spunky. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM! We know that this is the most important thing that can be done for him! And pray for us if you will....we need it! Sorry about the long post, but I thought some of you may not have heard. Thanks for your concern and prayers. Rob
